Good morning.
I am back for coffee this week, two weeks in a row now...maybe this will just become a regular thing... again.
It's supposed to be a beautiful day again today and I just cleaned off the front porch-swept,
straightened and got rid of at least some of the cob webs.
So grab a cup of coffee(or whatever you drink) and settle in for a while on the porch with me.
My hillbilly latte awaits.
I just cut these zinnias from our little garden out back and they instantly make this little spot a whole
lot happier.
One day I will have a huge garden full of flowers to cut and then I can always have fresh flowers in the house.
That's my dream.
I like small attainable dreams so as not to be constantly disappointed...pretty smart of me, huh?
-I recently came across this blog and cannot get enough of it. In real life maybe I am not always the most positive person but I love
when other people are. Plus she is super creative and inspiring.
-I might secretly want to get married again just so I can have a simple little reception like this.
It also really makes me want to move to the country- which is nothing new.
Oh, and speaking of weddings, my anniversary is this coming Saturday. Twelve years, baby.
-I'm hooked on Dallas but still a little nervous that they are going to screw it up and make it dumb.
Anyone else watching?
-I need some really good books to read this Summer, I haven't read anything good for a while now. Any suggestions? Please?
-Our tomato plants seemed to be doing so good for a while and then all of the sudden they started wilting and looked like they
were dying. We figured out that walnuts from walnut tress are not good
for tomato plants and our neighbor has a walnut tree and most of the walnuts fall in our yard.
We might try and transplant the plants--does anyone know if it will work?
Anyone have experience with this? I was so looking forward to fresh tomatoes
from our backyard.
-Another thing I am recently hooked on that I probably should not admit :: the police scanner app on
my phone. I know, I know. I feel like a little old lady... but it is seriously addicting.
If we were really meeting for coffee this morning I would have to tell you about my real live coffee
date with Becky from Farmgirl Paints last week.
It was my first time meeting another blogger in real life and I have to be honest, I really had to
step outside of my comfort zone to do it...like wayyyy out.
It was fun though and I am really glad I did it and Becky was even sweeter and cuter in real life.
It was a good experience.
Have you ever met another blogger in real life?
Would you do it?
Well, once again we have connection problems over here--I tried finishing/posting this early this
morning so it would be up and ready to go early and it there was no connection.
ughhhhh.
They(whoever THEY are) promise that when they come look at it tomorrow it will be 100% fixed.
They promise...hmmm...we will see about that.
Thanks for stopping by for coffee this morning.
Link up and I will visit you for a cup later on.
Have a great day.
And can I go on vacation here? Please?

Love the Zinnias! They are so lovely! WE have a bunch growing in our flower beds too. I hope to someday have big flower gardens and maybe sell some bundles at the Farmer's Market.
ReplyDeleteAs for the tomatoes. Do you have tomato cages around them? That might help. Or yes at this early stage in their life you could probable transplant them, just plant DEEP. :)
SOOO glad you stepped out of your comfort zone!! It's scary, but it's super fun too. Wish I had a hot mug of that coffee in my hand right now. It was good. Have a blessed one girlie.
ReplyDeleteIt's good to step out of your comfort zone - wait until you try a blog conference! (Super scary but totally worth it, especially since most everyone else is nervous too).
ReplyDeleteOne day, I shall have my own veggie garden. My back garden (yard) is so full of rocks it's not worth trying. And we're renting for the mo...

Love your zinnias. Such a pretty pop of color.
ReplyDeleteI'm currently reading The Night Circus, so I can't vouch for the whole book, but the first 30% or so has been awesome!
I love that you have a porch...and pretty zinnias to put on your porch! It is raining buckets here today so I will pretend I got to sit on your porch and have coffee with you! Good for you for meeting up with a blogging friend! Most of my dear friends I've met through blogging! They all live in my town too! We did have a boggy meet up a few years back and people came from all over...Australia, the South, the Midwest, California and the northwest! I think it is always worth it to take a risk on friendships!
ReplyDeleteI secretly want together re-married just so I can plan another wedding!! x
ReplyDeleteI just linked up, glad you are back to doing Virtual Coffee! Sorry about your tomatoes, my tomatoes are being eaten by squirrels.
ReplyDeleteAlso, police scanner app...I will definitely be getting that app even though I hate to admit I want it:)
Way to step out of your comfort zone, I did that a few weeks ago to meet a new neighbor.
i love your coffee posts!
ReplyDeleteyou are so fun.
zinnias are my fave, too, and it is so cool that you got to meet Becky!
;)
have a wonderful day!
I also dream of having an abundance of flowers to cut and bring in the house. As it is now I feel guilty when I cut them. If I had more then maybe that would change? I just finished reading Saving Ceecee Honeycutt and loved it!
ReplyDeleteI meant to join you for coffee this week, but I obviously didn't get around to it. Where is everyone else? There used to be a lot of coffee sippers here on Tuesdays. I'll be back for coffee on Tuesday. Enjoy!
