Flowers::

Are everywhere around here today....they are on bowls and necklaces, on little girl's dresses and growing on the sides of little houses, there are pretty pink ones in jars, and some hanging on the mirror of my grandma's old vanity and on tin canisters in the bathroom.......

So tell me, what are you favorite flowers to be given (or to buy for yourself)?
And what flowers do you have growing in your yard or wish you had growing in your yard? I wish I had lilac bushes in my backyard, a bunch of them, the smell of lilacs is one of my most favorite things ever.  I wish I had a huge patch of sunflowers, wildflowers and rose bushes right outside my back door. I love to have fresh cut flowers in the house. I guess my favorite flowers to be given are daisies, I love daisies in all colors.

 Okay, I know everyone is talking about the Liberty of London for Target line right now but it can't be helped, the stuff is ridiculously cute. The bowls in the first picture and that adorable little dress are both Liberty of London.

  1. Gorgeous! My favorite flowers to have in the house are tulips...so happy! In my yard, I wish I had flowering trees: a huge old hydrangea, a magnolia, a cherry...

  2. I love bluebonnets (TX state flower), daisies, and lillies. And like Lise, I love flowering trees.

    I'm not picky. I even like the scraggle weeds that The Offspring bring me.

  3. So that was your motive for going to Target....I'm with you. I love that stuff. Now my favorite flower is the lilac from my grandmother's bushes that are planted all around my back deck -- they smell so pretty and the rich green leaves shade the space on hot days. But, I also love sunflowers. I started planting them when my youngest was a baby and I've kept it up for years (18 years). I just think they're a fun flower.

  4. Hows the headache today my friend? I feel your pain - quite literally.

    We had a huge lilac bush growing on the side of our house when I was in high school - it was always blooming full right around my birthday. I remember picking the blooms and tucking them behind my (very big permed) hair. Fond memories of that flower indeed.

    I love the peppery smell of Stock. What girl doesn't love Roses - to give, receive and grow. To find one with a beautiful bloom that also smells good - is a total score.

    I miss any of the annual bulb flowers - mostly because we can't grow them here in AZ, and because I planted a wonderful patch the fall before Kendall was born - and they were in full bloom when we came home from the hospital. More fond memories of those.

    I love the big cheery heads of Gerbera Daisies - and the wonderful smell of Star Gazer Lillies.

    Obviously - I like too many to choose just one. I'll be happy with any kind, any where.

    Happy Spring!

  5. Tulips and gerberas. Love them both so much and don't really mind if I buy them myself or if someone buys them for me! As for the garden, it'll be a miracle if anything blooms in there this summer!

  6. I love most any flower- daisies, gerbers, lillies, magnolias, gardenias. I guess I like them colorful or fragrant.

    If I had a little girl, I would have blown my whole paycheck on that Liberty of London line.
