{Virtual Coffee}

Tuesday, August 17, 2010

 It's Tuesday morning.
Time for coffee.
And if we were really meeting for coffee this morning?
There would be cupcakes and balloons and coffee for everyone because today is
Maegan's 30'th Birthday.
Happy Birthday Maegan!

And if we were really meeting for coffee this morning, I would also tell you...
that this is a really big, busy week and I am getting a little stressed out over all that still
needs to be done.

Tomorrow morning we meet the teacher (again), take in school supplies and all that jazz.
Eric took the day off because of that and he also has a couple meetings in town.
It's also my birthday so it will be nice to have him here.

Ballet started yesterday and went really well.
It was really cute, Charlotte was so excited, she could hardly stand it.
I peeked in the room a couple of times and she was taking it all quite seriously.

I love this time of year and getting tomatoes form everyone. Yesterday I ate a bowl
of cherry tomatoes with olive oil, basil and sea salt. Yum. I could eat that every day!

The last two days the a/c has been off.
Off! No 100* days this week. Yay!
It is so nice sleeping, we can hear the crickets and all the other bugs and I can see
the moon from my bedroom window. I love that.

I finished Eat, Pray, Love.
I liked it and now I really want to see the movie. I did have a bit of trouble getting into the
book at first but ended up loving it. And now I really wanna go to Italy. Really.

So that's all for me today.
What about you?
Whatcha drinking?
What's going on in your life?
Thanks for meeting me this morning!

  1. Hey, I want to go to Italy, too, so let's go together! I know a few more who would join us....friends and bloggers, yippee! Hehehe.

Gosh, I miss reading your posts! Having no laptop right now really doesn't fare well for keeping up with lovelies like you. Darn.
Hopefully this Monday it'll be ready for me to take it home from the fixer's.... praying!!

Ohmygoodness. I heart that first collage of coffee. The black edge and rounded corners is SO vintage. Is that all I say around here?? ;)

We just got back from a vaca in Door County---got to walk along Lake Michigan before we went all teh way up, and I thought of you. :) Gish it was nice, all the cute independent coffee shops. Can't wait to blog about it! And I painted a coffee mug....it's pretty ...unique. :)

Have a lovely Tuesday, dear! Hoping to catch up on your posts soon:) Oh, and I painted the background for a new huge canvas and drank cooled coffee with a tad bit o' milk. Nice and simple. The house is clean, praise be, and we've got friends coming over for the next couple days. Haven't seen them since last summer! Excited, yes I am:)

I'm super busy with things, had to send my camera in for focus issues, getting ready to head to san diego in a few days. Have a great week Amy!

  4. Happy Bday Amy!! I have missed your morning coffees so much! I love your pics, you are so talented! I am playing catch up today & starting to feel the back to school stress creep into my being...I am fighting it! Feeling a bit sad as my kiddos will soon be back into a routine & we won't be able to do the fun impromptu things!

Def. go to Italy! We stayed in a great location in Rapallo which across the bay from Portofino...beautiful! Our hotel room had a view of a 16th century castle! There are some photos on my blog (my good camera 4 yrs ago died so the photos are with a point & shoot!)

Happy Birthday Hugs to you! Cathy

  8. Happy birthday, chica! Enjoy something sweet and something that rhymes with "bargurita". *wink*

I'm on the other side of the kindergarten fence. I met all my new parents (most of them) and attempted to calm fears and let them know I'm not some crazy scary lady. Me and the kids hit it off, no problem.

I loved the "eat" part of the book...the pray and the love...meh.

Hoping Julia will make me love the whole thing.

  10. Happy Birthday Amy! I hope you have a most wonderful day!

I also have enjoyed having the ac off. I do think it will be going back on either today or tomorrow though due to the rising humidity. :( I enjoyed it while it lasted. lol

I would love to go to Italy too. My cousin and her Italian husband just had their first baby and they are off to Italy next month to stay with his family for a couple of months. My aunt and uncle and cousin and her son are off to visit them for a month in October. Oh how I wish I could join them. I have that book and just haven't been able to start it. The movie looks good though, so I should try again.

Have fun at your meet the teacher day. I can't believe school is already starting! We go Monday and I'm just not ready to send my oldest to middle school. We have his middle school orientation tonight, and it just seems surreal. He was just in Kindergarten, so he can't be going into 6th grade! lol

I enjoyed your beautiful photos. Have a great day!
