Captured With My Iphone

Wednesday, March 21, 2012

Yesterday we spent the day at the cabin.
We were gone all day and didn't get home until 8:00 last night, it was a long day.
And you know what?
Sometimes it's really nice to go somewhere for the whole day, not just to get out of the house
but to get a break from all of the daily things at home.
No dishes, laundry or dogs for one whole day.
I needed that.
So did the kids.

Seriously? Did he not think I could see him pulling her hair??!

I am not going to allow myself to start complaining about the weather in March, it's just too early.
It was sunny and beautiful and warm, almost hot, people.
In March.
But like I said, no complaining yet.
There is plenty of time for that.

I love my iPhone, I really do.
And what I love most is the pictures my iPhone takes.
Traipsing through the woods, trying to catch frogs and digging for good rocks to bring home
is not impossible with my big camera, I used it too, but it is so convenient with my phone.
I don't have to worry constantly about dropping it in the water, finding somewhere to
set it down and it goes right in my pocket when I need both hands to climb my way out of the creek
or pick ticks off of us.
Yeah, the phone pictures are often grainy, not exactly crystal clear but I think it does the trick.

Gorgeous sunlight makes me happy.
Very happy.

Today is a lazy day.
Lots of hanging out at home and catching up on laundry.
And Family Movie Night :: The Empire Strikes Back.
It's gonna be a good one.
Happy Wednesday to you.

I love sunlight and iphone magic, too. I'm glad you were able to have a "free day" at the cabin.

That sounds so utterly delightful, Amy!
