Waitin' On The Freak Out

Sunday, August 5, 2012

So.... my little girl starts kindergarten two weeks from tomorrow.
Just two weeks, that's just 14 days.
I'm trying to figure out if I am in total and complete denial or if I am going to handle it better than I
did with Wyatt.
The jury's still out on this one.
Two weeks before he started school I was a mess, crying and sad and yeah, just a mess.
This time I am really trying to focus on the positive and the good things that will come with this huge change.
I decided that I can make myself miserable over it for the next few weeks or try to look on the
bright side and make the most of our last two weeks of Summer vacation.

ps- all these pictures are from my Nikon, not a single iphone picture here.
that doesn't really happen a whole lot anymore!

  1. My oldest starts Kindergarten next Wednesday and it finally just hit me a few nights ago. I looked at my husband and said "Summer's almost over" and then felt all the emotions coming and lost it. It'll be weird not having her home everyday! Not sure I'm gonna like this at first ;)

  2. Max starts Kindergarten in Sept. And I will bawl like a baby. :( He is my only. I can't even think about it without getting sad.
Lovely photos, Amy. Love the ferris wheel one. So simple and pretty.

  3. awwww...you can do it, mama. :)
i know it's hard, but there are great things ahead!

  4. My daughter starts kindergarten this month too! The good thing is that I still have a three year old at home to numb the pain! I haven't let myself think about it too much but when I do it is pretty sad...the end of that magical time when you have your kids at home. It's crazy that from here on out they are in school until they leave home. Hugs to you over these next two weeks! I hope you squeeze every last bit of summer out of them that you can!

  5. You'll be better than fine. Trust me. After the initial breakdown, you will love the extra free time. And the day will fly by.

  6. I remember that feeling. Actually that was when I started my blog. I needed to fill that hole! Good luck to you. Looking for the positives is a great way to focus your energy.

  7. I was just thinking how I need to get my 5d out today!

  8. Um yeah. I get this! I had an anxiety attack yesterday because of it all. The funny thing is that I didn't even realize what was goin on until my ma pointed it out to me. I'm just so deeply connected to my kiddos. The motherhood bond is STRONG, mama. But that is because we are strong.

    Keep your chin up. Hugs!

leave me a comment...you know you wanna.
