Make It /// Easter Bunny Envelopes

Monday, March 25, 2013

Hey there.
Happy Monday and Happy Snow Day to us!
I just kinda realized that Easter is this week(Wait... this week?!)...So, I thought I would share this super-quick and easy
little project just in time for Easter.
I think I first saw this idea in Martha Stewart Kids Magazine many years ago. Man, I loved that magazine.

How cute is that anyway?
Really the best thing is how simple they are to make and that you will have everything you need to make them
around the house already.
Charlotte and I are going to make some of these for her class this week, just perfect for kindergartners I think.

You Will Need ::
Envelopes
Scissors
Pencil
Glue
Fabric
Candy

These don't really take much explanation at all ...
Just seal your envelope, draw outline of bunny face, cut it out, glue on nose, inside of ears, etc...
And fill with candy!

Happy, happy day to you!

I Ate The Pie.

Tuesday, April 6, 2010

This might have just been the most delicious peach pie ever, made by my aunt and tasted just like my grandma's did. Yum. Okay, so I didn't eat the whole pie, just one piece, but that was enough. I lost all control overt the weekend, the word "detox" was completely foreign to me. Detox? Hmmm....No idea what that means. And it wasn't just Sunday either, Friday night we went out for Mexican, too. And then there was the Easter candy, which I only ate Sunday and now I am done with it. I sware.
So yesterday the detox started back up and was much harder on me than before. But I must soldier on, I have not been doing so well to fall apart now...and I'm thinking of getting into the kid's Easter candy and throwing away all the Reesees eggs. They are that good and the temptation is that hard.

We had a busy chaotic weekend but it was a lot of fun. The kids didn't get as much sleep as they needed,  were drug around here and there for days and ate entirely too much candy and behaved themselves wonderfully. Funny how that happens. A few pictures from our weekend:
Hope everyone had a Happy easter and a great weekend, the little guy doesn't go back to school until tomorrow, so one more day at home with nothing to do. Yay for Spring Break!

{Taking A Load Off}

Easter Egg hunts are really hard work. This is Charlotte taking a break on a rock at my uncle's pond yesterday after the big hunt. It was a beautiful day and so nice to be able to sit and relax there for a while yesterday. We are excited about getting to swim and wade and fish in this very pond this summer but for now sitting by the water was good enough.
For the first time I am participating in the weekly You Capture challenge over at  I Should Be Folding Laundry. Go check it out along with her awesome blog. Since Beth just had an adorable little baby boy it is being hosted by Keli for the next couple weeks, click below to see more.

Spring Is In The Air...

Tuesday, March 9, 2010

Just a few things that are making it feel like Spring around here...
(and by the way, it's really not, but we're getting closer...we have to be!)
like Easter candy...
Spingy looking clothes for the little one...
 Girl Scout cookies...of which I have only ate 2 (I sware...now I'm done)!
....and Rain Boots!
Although it is very slowly getting warmer here, just a bit, we still have quite  a ways to go...It's making me really happy to see all the Easter, Spring and gardening stuff out in the stores now though. All those pretty colors! Easter is the one holiday I don't mind if the stores push way too early, that just means we are getting closer to Spring!
What are you looking most forward to about Spring?
