This is bad. Really bad.

Thursday, October 15, 2009

My radio/cd player went out in my car. It won't come on at all, no lights, no nothing. I am seriously bummed. It must be something electrical because a while back my gas gauge and my speedometer went out too--and are still out. Notice that I am not overly concerned with those two minor things, I like to live on the wild side. But my cd player? The days of being able to drown out the kids while they are arguing in the back seat will just be a memory. Somebody help me. This is bad.

Mrs. Potter's Lullaby (and my own little Adam Duritz)

I've been listening to a lot of the Counting Crows lately in the car, so naturally the kids have too. I love, love, love the Counting Crows (forget about "Mr. Jones" for a minute here)....love their music, love their lyrics and just really LOVE Adam Duritz's beautiful voice. The kids like listening to them a lot, they request them when we get in the car and Wyatt sings along (and surprisingly knows a lot more of the words then one might think) while Charlotte plays the air guitar. Last week while listening to them on the way home from preschool Wyatt asked me to turn it down for a second and then in all seriousness said to me; "Mommy, I just realized that me and the singer sound almost exactly alike. We sing just the same." Of course I agreed, turned the music back up and watched Wyatt continue to sing along in the back seat-with much pride I might add. So click on the lyrics below and listen to one of our favorite songs on this dreary, rainy morning.....
