{Virtual Coffee}

Good Morning.
Ready for a cup of coffee?
Grab a cup and get comfortable for a chat.
I am up early for the second day in a row...let's hope this sticks, I so want this to become
a daily habit but I am really struggling with it.
Are you an early riser? Night person?
Got any no-fail tricks to make yourself get up early?

So, if we were really meeting for coffee this morning....

You would have to tell me all about your weekend and the weather...and how ready for Spring
you are...and if you watched the Oscars and what you thought....
Okay, I will go first.

We had a busy, busy weekend which by Sunday night made me realize I really cannot wait
for a slow, relaxing, not busy weekend. I'm hoping that will be this coming weekend.
I talked about our big day on Saturday here.
Sunday we went to my niece's roller skating birthday party, it was a lot of fun.
I had not been skating since last winter, and it was only the kid's second time ever skating
and they did so good.

Wyatt only had one speed skating, which was super fast, and resulted in him falling about twenty
times. But what amazed me is that he would pop right up every time and keep going, falling did
not phase him at all. It's funny how it's no big deal for the kids to do that but I would be seriously
hurting if I fell even once--and luckily I didn't.

Oh and can I just tell you that I so wanted this song to come on while I was skating?!!!
I don't think roller skating should even be allowed without Michael Jackson, it's just not right.
I don't know about you but when I was grade school/junior high age roller skating was the
thing to do. I'm thinkin' I need to start looking for some roller skates for myself now.
Yet another reason I cannot wait for rummage sale season to start.

*******

Did you watch The Oscars Sunday night?
We always watch them but I have to say, this year more than any other I was much more
impressed and entertained by the Red Carpet. I am not Billy Crystal's biggest fan I guess,
time for a someone else I think. Oh well...anyway, I still really like watching them and
Eric always makes food for us and we have wine and all that stuff so it's fun, regardless.

Well, I am going to have to cut out early this morning--
I still have a lunch to make and a little girl's hair to fix before we can get out of here.
I also just remembered I have something to go to at school at lunch time today.

Oh but wait, we cannot have coffee without at least one mention of the weather...
A little windy but sunny the last couple of days...
It is really starting to feel like Spring is not far off--even though it feels like we never
even really finished Winter.
The sun out my back door this morning...

Hope you all have a great Tuesday, thanks for stopping by.

  2. I'm a night owl, for sure. It's early morning before I fall asleep sometimes! Thanks for bringing back some wonderful roller skating memories.... the lights, music, holding hands, awesome feeling when you take the skates off after hours of fun. OK- time for me to take my kids skating. They've never been!

  3. I used to be such a night owl...but when we moved to Thailand I used the jet lag/time difference to help me get up early. I naturally woke up around 6:30-7 when we first got here...so I just kept it up. I've been slipping a little lately and waking up more around 8, but if I set an alarm and really want to get up early it's okay. I do have to be sure to get to bed at a reasonable hour (10:30-11) because I just need tons of sleep, otherwise all bets are off!

Skating looks like so much fun! I haven't been in YEARS. Possibly at least a decade, maybe almost 2. This is making me want to go again! And of course, who can skate without MJ? I'm pretty sure that's impossible. :) Thanks for coffee!
