{Virtual Coffee}

Tuesday, March 27, 2012

Hello there and good morning.

Do you want to know something completely random?
Every time I type out "Good Morning" on my little blog here in my head I am actually saying
"Good Morning, Vietnam" just like Robin Williams did in the movie Good Morning, Vietnam.
Ha. Betcha didn't know that, huh?

Anyway, every time you pop in here on a Tuesday just imagine that I am saying good
morning to you just like that.

Well, settle in and have a cup of coffee with me this morning before you get going with
your day.
Yesterday I stopped by my parent's and left with a few lilacs.
Lilacs in March is craziness.
Oh but I love lilacs so much, they smell so good.
I really wanted to get married when the lilacs were blooming so I could have those for flowers
at my reception but I was a little dumb and a little young(er) and yeah, you can't really plan a
wedding around when the lilacs might bloom.

How are you doing?
Do you have a busy week ahead?
WE do have a bit of a busy week and are still trying to get back in the swing of things after
Spring Break last week.
This morning at school I have to help Wyatt's class with their Art Fair project, the Art Fair is
Friday night so that's what we will be doing then.

Over the weekend Eric and the kids did a lot of work outside trying to get the back yard
ready for Spring. Well, I guess Eric worked outside, the kids played outside and I worked inside.
Then I took my laundry outside to fold on the patio because it was way too nice to be stuck inside.
We ended the night on the front porch reading our books.
I love Spring and this awesome weather we are having.

I am going to have to cut coffee short this morning--for some reason Tuesday is usually my
most unorganized, not-quite-ready-for-the-day, day of the week.
Wonder why that is?
I really wanted to complain to you about how I shopped a bit yesterday and over the weekend
for Spring/Summer clothes for these kids of mine that seem to be growing out of everything all
at once and how frustrating it is shopping for Charlotte now.
Glitter, sparkles, tacky, even a little bit slutty? For a 5-year old?
Grosssss.
Okay, more on that later, gotta get moving.

Hope you all have a fantastic day!
Tell me what is going on with you today, what's new?
The good, the bad and the ugly...I wanna hear it all.

  1. I have a fond love for the front porch. If we didn't have so many mosquitos ALREADY I'd be doing the same...reading bedtime stories on the front porch. The mild winter was great, but I could do without the bugs. Hope you have a great week!

  2. I wish I had a porch!
Today is "freezing" (around 50s) here in the Wash DC area but tomorrow it's back up to the 70s. so I can't wait for that!

I started my coffee with a young professional group that I think will be good for me. I ended up on the happy hour planning committee...go figure!

    Enjoy your day!

  4. good morning!!! your lilacs are sooooo pretty. Funny episode: When we moved here, I went to the nursery asking the lady if she could sell me a lilac tree. She looked at me all puzzled, saying: you must not be from around here, Lilacs don't grow in this climate. Oh how little did I know about my new home;) Today I am way more aware of what is possible and not( not only in the flower department ;) ) down here in the south but I still love them and their beautiful smell and I am certainly happy for you to have them close by... Have a fun day!

  8. I'm so allergic to lilacs and they are in full bloom here, too. BIZARRE!! I'm so hopped up on allergy medicine it isn't even funny.

So if we were having coffee you may have to repeat everything twice because I'm so stuffed up I can't hear or because I've become a medicine head zombie. BUT I love this weather, too. I read on the back porch. I finally found a book I'm into.

    What are you reading?

  9. I love that you say good morning like that in your head. I love that movie! Sorry I'm slow to get around to coffee today. My usual coffee blog reading time got commandeered by a work conference (BOO) that was totally boring and useless so I can't even say it was worth it (double boo).

I love that last photo; the colors are amazing. Also, I just read your post from today and wanted to say I'm sorry you had such a crappy morning, but I hope everything is back to normal now! It does look like today is off to a WAY better start. Hope it stays that way!
