Hey there.
Good morning and happy Tuesday to you.
I don't know about you, but I think this week might be the last week for making my very own homemade pumpkin spice lattes.
I think after Thanksgiving I will probably switch to more of a peppermint latte, but for the rest of
the week this is it.
Yum.
So find a comfy spot and sit down and have a little chat with me over your coffee-- or whatever
it is you are drinking this morning.
If we were really meeting for coffee I would tell you...
Rather I would ask you, how in the world could Thanksgiving possibly be in two days!??
Two days, folks.
Here's the thing; To tell you the truth, I still feel like school just started.
And now Thanksgiving is here... which means Christmas is just around the corner.
I just can't talk about Christmas quite yet though, it's making me a little nervous to think about how I haven't started making a list yet,
let alone actually started doing any kind of shopping.
Yikes.
I'm just gonna try and stay in denial for a little longer, like until next week maybe.
So if we were really meeting for coffee this morning I would ask about your weekend....
How was it?
Did you do anything fun?
We were busy whit stuff what felt like all week last week with funeral stuff, family in town, etc.
and over
the weekend too, but Sunday afternoon we were able to get to the park with the kids and spend some
time outside.
It was beautiful, like 60* beautiful.
In Illinois, in November!
We will gladly take that, knowing there are not many of those days left.
Yesterday my little nieces and i made glitter stars and now there is probably about an inch of glitter
everywhere.
Everywhere.
Oh well. Luckily I am not super picky about messes and it did keep them entertained for a while.
Glitter and glue-- how could it not?
>>>>>>>
So the rest of my week will be busy with helping out in Wyatt's class, going to his spelling bee and Charlotte's Thanksgiving
Feast on Wednesday-- in which I am in charge of making the sweet potatoes.
Ummm.... I have never actually made sweet potatoes.
And don't especially like them all that much either.
Any suggestions...Recipes? Anything?
Well, I'm out of coffee, so that's about it for me this morning--
Thanks for stopping by here today.
Hope everyone has a great day!

I am also in shock that Thanksgiving is this week! Bah! Also, I will be 31 tomorrow. Not quite sure how that happened either. I feel like just yesterday I turned 16!!!! So let's talk sweet potatoes. I think you should make mashed sweet potatoes with a sweet topping like brown sugar and pecans. It's super easy and always a crowd pleaser! Google a recipe if you haven't already:) Have a great week girl! xoxo
ReplyDeleteI loathe sweet potatoes. Ick. Sorry I'm no help. And I'm in Christmas denial, too. HUGS! Time is going so flippin fast.
ReplyDeleteOh man, I haven't made a list yet either... I'm so behind and am going to be rushing to figure out gifts. BOO. Oh well.
ReplyDeleteYum to the peppermint latte/mocha. Yum.
happy coffee day! i'm really excited for you to post that peppermint recipe :) you've changed my coffee-drinking life, i tell ya!
ReplyDeleteadd lots of butter and brown sugar to those sweet potatoes and you can't go wrong.
