A Portrait A Week

Charlotte :: Saturday at the Cabin, picking daffodils and checking to see if the bluebells were close to blooming yet.
One braid in, one braid out, pretty filthy from head to toe. That's my girl.

Wyatt :: Definitely a lot harder to get a photo of on Saturday. He was busy in the woods, helping my aunt dig a hole and
shooting his bow and arrow. Also, about half the photos of him I get are no good because his eyes are closed. Ugh.
This boy has had the sweetest little lips since the day he was born.

A Portrait A Week

So,  I am still doing the whole weekly portrait thing but I have been bad about posting them or even getting them off of
my camera and onto my computer,  to tell you the truth.
But today I did.
I took these yesterday just sitting in the living room watching The Brady Bunch with the kids... the light was perfect, the sun
was shining through the windows at just the right angle.
I know I am a bit bias(tiny bit?) but I cannot get enough of these big, blue eyes.
Next time I will catch Charlotte, too.... here you can see the last series of portraits of her.

Man, I love this boy so much.
Sometimes when I look at that face, or especially when I am going through pictures and see him like this, I wish I could go
back in time and tell myself during the nightmare infertility days to just hang on and relax because this sweet little soul would be
coming soon....  and at just the right time, even though I didn't believe so at the time.

52 Portraits /// Week 1

I'm a little late with this one, seeing that I missed all of January... but here I go.

I am going to take both kid's portraits every week for the whole year.

My goal is to do it with my Nikon but I am not limiting myself to never using my phone, either.
Gotta make it doable for me.

And the boy?
Well, his will be coming later... he's not always quite as agreeable about getting
his picture taken these days as his sister (usually)is.

I remember the days when this would have sounded boring to me...
