{Virtual Coffee}

Happy Tuesday.
If we were really meeting for coffee today I would tell you to meet us at the park,
hopefully the rain will hold off for a while.
I will pick up the coffee.
Or tea....or hot chocolate...or whatever.

********
So if we were really meeting for coffee today...

I would ask you if you are ready for Halloween?
Costumes ready?
Bought your candy yet?
We are nearly ready but not completely ready,  I guess.
And I will buy the candy at the last minute so we don't eat it all.

If we were really meeting for coffee this morning and I was running late I would
tell you it's because I am feeling super lazy and groggy because I did not sleep good at all last night.
Yesterday I was talking about Indian Summer and it did in fact feel like Summer or Spring
last night. It was super windy, warm and there were tornado warnings around us but not in our county.
Super high winds in an old big, tall, house surrounded by big, old and tall trees makes me nervous.
Tornado warnings in October = crazy.

Since this post seems to be all about Halloween anyway I would ask you what
 your favorite Halloween candy is.
Most favorite?
Hands down, those Reesees Pumpkins.
The best.
And for some reason, way better than just a regular Reesees Peanut Butter cup.
Whose with me?
Oh, and the worst...have to be those hard peanut butter nasties in the orange and black wrappers.
I remember dumping my candy bag out and actually being mad about those things. I
always thought those people must not have liked kids that passed those out.

Last night we carved our pumpkins. And by we you know I mean Eric.
Charlotte helped scoop out the guts and Wyatt drew out designs for the
jack-o-lantern's face and after much deliberation,
decided on a "creepy" face for his. Charlotte requested a Princess face but in reality
 got a traditional jack-o-lantern face.

Well, if the weather cooperates we hope to go to Boo at The Zoo tonight with the cousins.
So I need to get moving this morning so I can scrounge up a couple
last minute things for the costumes...
tights, a t-shirt and a crown for Little Miss Cinderella.

Hope you all have a great Tuesday...thanks for meeting me for coffee today!

* Not sure why the thumbnails of everyone that linked up was not showing before but they are now
 and hopefully stays that way!?

  1. It is 33 degrees here right now. but still brilliantly sunny. No snow, so I'm not complaining.

The girls' costumes are totally ready! It's mine and Evan's costumes that need last minute things.

Love the picture of pumpkins and bare feet. Just shows how warm it's been there!

  2. We have tornado warnings here in Michigan. Thanks for sending them over ;) Yeah Tornadoes in October= very weird.

Peanut butter cups are my faves, too. The chocolate goes pretty fast in this house. I always hated getting those black and orange wrapped pieces of hard crap as well. My least favorite though was getting pennies. Why oh why did they think it was ok to give pennies?!?

  8. We are hot and a bit humid on this side of the world today. I just love that photo of the kids in their barefeet and pumpkins. Sadly, I've not seen any pumpkins around here this year. And if they do bring any, they cost about $30 bucks each. Yikes! Thanks for the coffee! have a great rest of the week. :) Tammy

  14. I am with you on the Reese's pumpkins! Pretty much the only time I buy Reese's is at Halloween for the pumpkins, and Easter for the eggs. I swear they taste better, I think the chocolate to peanut butter ratio is different. Can't wait to see the kids' costumes!!

  17. Costumes - yes, except a pair of black tights to pick up. Candy - yes. My favorite this year is the york peppermint pumpkins covered in dark chocolate. Pumpkins ... yet to be carved. Need to remedy that. :-)
