Down To The Wire...

Photobucket

Well, here I am, just three short days before Picnik closes...trying to
figure out what in the *%$# I am going to do.
And, as usual, I am annoyed with myself for waiting until the last minute when
I have known for months and months that this was going to happen.
Really, Amy?
Ridiculous.
But apparently I love it because I do this all the time.
Grrrrrrrrr.

So I need to figure this out, quick-like.
I am still using Picnik but I have also been using PicMonkey for a month or so, too.
I love PicMonkey except you cannot do photo collages on there yet...
and I need to be able to do collages.

What do you use to edit your photos?
Any advice?
Help. I need help. Quick.
Sometimes I tell myself I work best under pressure but in reality I
just procrastinate because I don't want to deal with the task/problem at hand but then I still
have to deal with it and I get stressed and the whole working under pressure thing
doesn't really work out for me.

*******

My other current problem:
This picture above should be big and wide- just about as big as the width of
my blog...why in the world are my pictures going back down to the smaller size
on their own? What is going on!??
I am a big, fat, hot mess in the photography department, huh?

  1. I KNOW!!!!! I'm so sad about Picnik. I don't know what I'm going to do either. :(

  2. I think I emailed you about Picnik when I found out! I felt the same panic. I have since just made myself sit down and figure out Elements. Not as hard as I thought it would be! You can make collages in Picasa (though it's not as easy in terms of importing photos from Flickr.)
In terms of the size of the photos, how are you adding them to your blog? I post my photos to Flickr and then use the html code to add them to my post. I had heard that blogspot only gives you so much "room" for photos (in terms of GB) and when you've used all of your GB then you can't add photos to your blog. That scared me, so I heard about using the html code to link your photo from Flickr. I can shoot you an email about how to do that if want to know more. :D
Hope your week is off to a good start, friend!!

  3. I think I have told you already about ipiccy and they said collage possibilities would be available soon. I think this will not be free though :(

  4. I'm in the same panic and have been since Picnik's first scary email. So sad and wrong. Photoshop Elements makes me cry, so I don't know if I can make myself go back to that joy.

I hope PicMonkey will get collages soon.

I use SmugMug to upload my photos to my blog and the html links let you choose sizes which are bigger than the basic Blogger options. Good luck!

  5. I do all my collages on Picasa and they are real easy to do. You can download Picassa 3.9 for free it has alot of other new neat features as well. I've always used Picasa in addition to Picnik. Instead of Picnik I too have been playing with Pic Monkey and also a another one called Be Funky. Picasa is nice to use because you download it to your computer so you can simply open a photograph in it without having to upload and it has the storage and organization features too.

  7. i am sad about this too, but i did find ipiccy.com and it is almost exactly as picnik but without the collages though. i often use bighugelabs for those.

  8. i have elements and i just need to learn it! i need collages too. ugh! about the size of your pics...if you get into you "blog design" page, you can adjust the widths of your blog columns. then in whatever you're editing with, resize them to fit that width. save that and then when you add the pic, click on "original size" in the pic adder thing and it should be as wide at your column.
