Last Thursday Eric kinda made me go to this event at this old theater in town.
He was kind enough to volunteer me as the photographer for the event, and gave me a
whole 2 days notice, then told me he didn't think I could back out because my name would be
in the program. So we went.
This theater dates back to 1916 and is such a cool building, full of history and beautiful architecture.
Chippy paint everywhere, two balconies....and as the "photographer" of the event I got to wander
around after it was over and take a bunch of my own pictures.
It was dark, with bad lighting inside but I think you get the idea.
This is exactly the kind of place I wish I could wander around with my camera...so it ends up
that it was totally worth it.
And a few more I took with my phone...
Can't you just imagine what this place was like in the 1920's and 30's... and 40's?
I would love to be able to see it filled with people back then and see what they were watching there-
and what they were wearing and driving.
Hope you all had a great weekend.
Ours was busy and hot, but good.
And now I am going to eat a bowl of cereal and watch Eat, Pray, Love before it is due back at
the library this week.
