{Virtual Coffee}

Tuesday, June 19, 2012

Hey there.
It's been a while since we've had coffee, huh?
So, I felt like I needed a little break, I had the break... and then I started missing coffee...
so here I am.
New to Virtual Coffee?
You can read more here but anyone is welcome to join in, just leave a comment and link up so we
can all visit your place for coffee, too.

So, if we were really meeting for coffee this morning...
I would tell you to come early so we can sit out on the patio...but if you come after 10:00 or so we're
going to have to head back inside because it is gonna be hot, hot, hot today, and already is.
And humid...oh, so humid. The humidity is just too much for me.
Yesterday I spent the whole day at home, in my nice cool air- conditioned house-
cleaning, organizing and filling garbage bags to both donate and throw away.
Really though, when it is this hot if we are not in the swimming pool then I don't even want to be outside at all.
I know, I know.
You can call me whimpy, it just might be true.
Luckily grandma & grandpa have a swimming pool and only live about ten minutes away.

So, if you come early I will show you the little garden, how our tomatoes are doing and I would have
to show off my zinnias that are just now starting to bloom. Eric and charlotte planted these for me and
they make me so happy, I love zinnias.
I would also send you home with some basil because we have a lot. I do love the smell of basil.

If we were really meeting for coffee this morning I would have to ask about your
weekend...How was it? Did you do anything fun?

Our weekend was kinda busy and full...and ummm...hot, like I mentioned.
Friday night we all walked over to our neighborhood church to watch Dolphin Tale outside in
the church parking lot.
The kids were so excited and even though Eric and I weren't super  thrilled at the prospect of sitting through that movie again
we took them anyway.
But for the kids,  does it get any better than going to a movie that starts past your bedtime,
eating candy and popcorn, then walking back home in the dark?
It was definitely worth seeing that movie for the fourth time.

We were busy celebrating Father's Day on Sunday. While the kids and I waited for Eric to get home from a night away at the Cabin, we decorated with signs, the kids made cards and we baked him brownies. Then we went on to our parent's houses and all the cousins got to
swim together.... a perfect Summer weekend.

Besides that, the kids are busy with VBS this week and are looking really, really,
really(according to them) forward to having their cousins spend the night tonight.
There is going to be movies and ice cream and a huge fort built by Wyatt.

If you follow me on instagram(@lucky13amy)you might know that yesterday I worked on going through the inventory I have
for my online shop and started making lists and taking pictures.
I am thinking maybe it will be up and running in the next couple of weeks.
I am getting kind of excited about it. It will be mostly vintage items with a little bit of up-cycled
and a bit of handmade items thrown in there as well.

Well, I thought I would never get this coffee post finished!
I was up early excited to be back for coffee this morning and wouldn't you know we had no
internet service?
Ughhh, that's a new one around here. So frustrating.
Anyway, it's 10:30 and I am finished with my coffee but finally getting this posted.
Thanks so much for joining me here this morning for a cup.
Have a great day everyone!

  6. Well chica if I knew we were having coffee I'd have showed up to the party with some bailys in my cup because really some mornings call for that. Also- our zinnias are coming up. Don't you just looove the color? I'll do coffee next week. Or perhaps I'll do a evening summer shandy post. It may be full of grammatical errors though. Beer + Blogging = funny posts.

    xo!
