I do not turn 40 this month. I do not turn 40 this month. I do not turn 40 this month.
I do not turn 40 this month. I do not turn 40 this month. I do not turn 40 this month.
I do not turn 40 this month. I do not turn 40 this month. I do not turn 40 this month.
I do not turn 40 this month. I do not turn 40 this month. I do not turn 40 this month.
I do not turn 40 this month. I do not turn 40 this month. I do not turn 40 this month.
I do not turn 40 this month. I do not turn 40 this month. I do not turn 40 this month.
I do not turn 40 this month. I do not turn 40 this month. I do not turn 40 this month.
I do not turn 40 this month. I do not turn 40 this month. I do not turn 40 this month.

Ahhhh.... *%$# crap.
Yes I do.
I do.
What?!
I thought I just turned, like...34?
Forty.
It sounds so old.
I'm too immature to be forty.
No more 30's?
Is this the end?
Unbelievable... like, I'm actually in denial...
How can this be?
No, really.
Full-on mid-life crisis, here I come...
Help me.

Forty?

  2. Amy, I turned 47 in June, and let me tell you, I don't think we ever feel we are as mature as we're "supposed" to be. I mean when I was a kid, and my mom was 47, I thought she had it all together. Come to find out, she didn't and doesn't. Turning 40 didn't bother too much, but I must say that when I think about 50 being right around the corner, my heart does skip a beat!! The good thing is that I'm now in a hurry to enjoy life, to experience more, and do more. Live every moment! Happy birthday!

  4. I remember being a kid and thinking 40 was soooo old! Now I'm nearly there I still too feel so young and immature to be seen as a 40 year old. But I do have three years to go. Wonder if I'll mature much in 3 years.... doubtful! And for the record, from what I've heard 40 rocks!

  5. I felt the same way. And now I don't think about that number at all. Get through it and you'll get over it. Thankfully.

  6. I turn 35 next month and i am feeling the same way! 35 will be my toughest bday yet! If it makes you feel better, based on how you look, i would have guessed you were late 20's, however your love for pearl Jam, put you more in upper 30's. it will be great!!
