{Virtual Coffee}

Wednesday, October 13, 2010

Well, it's Tuesday  Wednesday, time for Virtual Coffee.
We can still have coffee on a Wednesday morning, right?
I hope so.
So...If we were really meeting for coffee this morning...

I would tell you that I had no internet service all day yesterday.
Hence us meeting for coffee one day late.
All day. It totally threw me off.
No email, blogging, no ichat with Eric while he's at work, nothing...
It's actually really annoying.
I mean, I hate to think I am that dependent on the internet, but really?
I kind of am.
Some days anyway, and some days I don't really care.

If we were really meeting for coffee today, I would tell you that my girl
is four years old today.
FOUR.
Wow.
So, with our coffee,
We would be having donut holes from Charlotte's favorite donut shop or
white cupcakes with buttercream icing and a little Cinderella on top.
I am hoping to take her Birthday pictures this week so there will be a full
Birthday post with pictures coming soon.
You know me, you know there will be.

Oh!
If we were really meeting for coffee today I would tell you that we painted our kitchen.
Finally.
Can you believe it?
It took me a ridiculously long time to decide on a color.
Oh and by we you know I didn't do it, Eric did.
We took that mug in (above) and they matched the color exactly.
I think I like it.
I bought the sample of the retro green that I really wanted, painted a little spot...
and just wasn't feeling it. Not in that room anyway.

If we were really meeting for coffee this morning I would have to confess
that I am a little bit obsessed with watching the Mining Rescue in Chile on TV right now.
I couldn't sleep last night and was up watching it for like an hour and a half.
Amazing that these men have been down there for 63 days.

Mmmm...I love hot coffee on an almost-chilly morning.

I would tell you thank you so much for meeting me for coffee, sorry I am a day late
and please take a few extra cupcakes with you, we have plenty.
Oh, one last thing!
I would tell you that I did find Miss charlotte her very own wash board.
A four-year old requesting a wash board for her birthday, I love it.
She is going to be so excited to finally wash her baby doll clothes on it.

Happy Wednesday!
{and if you had coffee yesterday be sure and link up today!}

  1. Hey, Wednesday is fine. Since I'm on the other side of the world time is pretty irrelevant. :D

    Your kitchen color is divine.

I s'pose my cup is both half full and half empty. I got a lot done this last week (website, photo-ops) but I feel like the 'to-do' list just gets longer and longer.

  6. Happy birthday to your girl!!!

I seriously start twitching when my internet goes out. I say that it's not that I'm addicted, it's that I depend on it to talk to my family in Illinois...but I think I might be addicted.

I think that color is gorgeous. I'm imagining it makes the kitchen a very happy room with it's color.

  8. Happy Birthday, Miss Charlotte!

Show us a picture of your kitchen. We've all been waiting along with you. Sadly, I still have yet to make a paint color decision so my walls remain patchwork.

  10. Happy birthday to your sweet girl!

I dig the color you chose. I have the retro green look goin' and it either works or it doesn't. I don't think there can be a middle ground with that shade. Luckily, it works for us.

Post a pic of the cocina when it's all gussied up.
