One of my very favorite things in school was making the shoe box Valentine mailboxes every year. I loved the gluing, cutting, decorating and then looking at all of the Valentine's I got after the little party was over. This week Wyatt has his first little Valentine's Party at school and they are having a Valentine exchange. I tried to talk him into making Valentine's for his classmates but he really, really, really wants either Spongebob or Superhero ones that he saw at Target instead. Ugh. Of course I would prefer the handmade ones as opposed to the tacky store-bought ones he likes but I'm going to let him choose for school. We can still make our own for grandparents and friends, they will like getting ones made by the kids and I can satisfy my crafting urge, so we all win. On the agenda for the rest of the week will be making some special little treats for some of our most favorite people and watching the Charlie Brown Valentine's show Wednesday night. All of the holidays really are more fun with little kids....even Valentine's day...and I love that.
I cant wait to have babies and see the holidays through there eyes!! So nice to meet you.
