{Virtual Coffee}

Tuesday, June 8, 2010

It's Tuesday. Time for Virtual Coffee.
Grab a cup of your favorite drink and talk to me.

Well, if we really were meeting for coffee this morning I would tell you.....

*that I am praying that it does not storm this morning, not until after noon at least. Please. The kids are at Vacation Bible School and Charlotte did not want to go because it was sprinkling this morning. That girl has developed a serious fear/phobia of storms....poor thing.

* Check out this old-school Polaroid camera I found at a Flea Market last week...I am in love.
* I have been having a lot of trouble with blogger this week...anyone else? Posting, commenting, messing up my text...so frustrating.

*I would also tell you; NO,  I cannot believe your mom/mother-in-law did that either...what's the matter with her anyway? (And even if I didn't completely agree with you,  I would still be on your side).  : )

*I am also in love with these little paper flower-things I got at Target. How cute are they? They are hanging from the chandelier in my dining room. Oh and really? Target should probably just make me one of their  Spokespeople....they really should.

* a good friend of mine is going to Guatemala on a Mission Trip in December.  I would love to do something like that someday....maybe in a few years. She has worked in orphanages before in impoverished countries and I would love to be able to help in that way someday but I think it would be so hard to do. Definitely something that is always in the back of my mind though.

* I am loving Creativity Boot Camp that started this week.  If you haven't heard of it  you might just be the only one left in blog-land that hasn't. And you can still start, it s a fun, free e-course that really gets you thinking and forces you to step outside the box. Check it out!

Oh yeah, and what are you drinking today anyway?
Well, that's it for today, folks.
Thanks so much for meeting me this morning, see you next week!

*WOOOT! Check out my Virtual Coffee button on the side. I think I just made my very first button!
I am smarter than a 4th grader, I really am!

  5. Here's my dialogue over coffee with you, dear:

#1...I love that picture of your coffee, and if you don't mind, it's my desktop background right now;) I think of you when I see it!

#2...Wow. I would so love to go on a missions trip. Anywhere would be amazing. Guatemala, even. Not many people know that, not many people think there are many things I want to do, other than what seems obvious and in front of me. The past few days Jesus has really been showing me that every season is precious. This one I'm in is precious, even with all the unbelievably annoying moments with siblings and havoc and ruts in the road with parents. Because someday...this time will be gone. And with that in mind, I do want to be one of the best sisters ever. I want to try to be an agreeable daughter. I want to do more than I thought planned for my life while being a single person in my loving family. *sigh* He'll show me what to do. I just need to talk to God more. Oh, yeah. And listen.

#3...That Polaroid camera is the bomb! It's adorable! Love how vintage it is.

*takes last sip of milked-up coffee and smiles*

  6. Gosh, there's something about it only being a comment and not my own post...oh yeah, and how it's over coffee...that makes me just spill. :)

And I totally sympathize with your little girl about storms. I used to be freaked out at dark clouds, and just the threat.
Until I got older and I found, through talking to Him and reading the Bible, that He's stronger than anything and just loves me. And He keeps me in His hand no matter what.

  8. Yes, in the "summer" aisle, just $3...quite the steal.

    I already answered Heather but...
For anyone else curious about Boot Camp; You can totally go at your own pace, do what you want/can and you are not obligated to share anything...only if you want. Check it out!

  12. I missed coffee again, so I am checking in late! Love the new header! I already downloaded your new button. That camera is fab!! I have seen some at a local antique store but they are super pricey! I am also in love with those flowers, have some in my eldest daughters room in the Martha Stewart version:)

I have been crazy busy with the kids: 12 stitches for my son, within an hour of getting out of school, swim meets & dive meets, practices & kids eating like crazy! But I am so happy that school is finally out & that we are able to enjoy each other. Not much blogging happening here! Hugs till next week, Cathy
