{Virtual Coffee}

Tuesday, July 27, 2010

Good Morning.
Good afternoon.
It is Tuesday, time for Virtual Coffee.
How about an afternoon coffee date today?
Okay,  so if we were really meeting for coffee (and someday can we, really?) I would tell you...

That we went to see Alvin & The Chipmunks this morning...only a couple more weeks
of these $1 Summer Movies, must take full advantage! It gave us something to do out of the heat for a few hours today.

That I intend to start getting up early and walking a few days a week. I have been doing nothing, absolutely nothing and I need to get moving again...literally.Why don't I do this more often? Last week I was up early and saw the sun coming up. Just beautiful.

I just bought my first waffle iron. What took me so long!? The kids have demanded fresh waffles two days in a row now and I am fine with that because they are so easy and delicious.

My boy has his very first loose tooth as of yesterday. I think it's gonna be a while but it
 is definitely loose.
Kindergarten is only a few weeks away and now a loose tooth?
This might just be a little too much for this mama.

$2 grocery store flowers make my day, they really do.
And  I love them lined up in these little jelly jars in my kitchen window.

Thanks for joining me for coffee today...loved my late afternoon mocha.
And if you're new here, tell me what you're drinking. Or anything else you want to share.
Anything, it's that random here...it is coffee after all.
Happy Tuesday everyone!

  1. Darling pictures of the jelly jars & flowers!
    Golly:)

    Ca-uuuuute not-SO-little boy.

Hmm. Guess what? I'm going to make a raspberry-brown-sugar gratin for dessert tonight.
It looks like it might just be *slightly* divine. ;)
    {And....I just might blog about it.}

  2. Hi,

I'm new to the virtual coffee, but it looked like fun so here we go:

If we met for coffee I would be drinking a vanilla and munching on a scone (the perfect combo in my eyes).

I'd tell you that I just spent hours of my day reorganizing my dining room/kitchen, and I'm paying for it now because my little girl is super cranky. I think she's annoyed that we didn't play enough.

I'd tell you that I'm thinking about going to grad school for English Lit or writing, but it scares the hell out of me because I want to have more kids soon and I don't know if I could do it all. Also, I think I might also be trying to find yet something else to do other than work on my writing. I'm such a procrastinator.

And then lastly, because this is probably getting a little too long. I'd say that I too love flowers in jelly jars (or glass soda bottles)!! Every time I see them they make me happy.

  3. I'm jealous of your $2 grocery store flowers. I just paid eight bucks for two bunches of yellow spider mums. Way too expensive!

I need to get a flower garden going. All we've got is herbs and peppers.

Oh, and I lost thirteen pounds. Woot!

  4. I'm drinking a Diet Dr. Pepper...and I'd tell you that I'm running around trying to get the house cleaned and my bag packed for a getaway. Yessss!

Oh, and I'm wanting to get some new ink, but tattoo man was kind of an ass.

  5. Mmm!! I can smell those carnations right now! Beautiful!

The grand kids here are losing their teeth left and right! Keeping the tooth fairy hopping! :)

I made a commitment that I need to "get moving" again too! I popped in my walk dvd, Four Fast Miles, on Sunday and exercised to that for 50 minutes. If I don't get out and walk very early here, it is just too darn hot to move! It's hard work getting back into the swing of it, but so worth it in the long run! Good luck to you!

p.s. glad to hear you & the kids are enjoying that new waffle maker!! :)

  8. Found you through Corinne...
I am on my second cup of coffee this morning with hazelnut flavored creamer.
My youngest is starting kindergarten this fall and I have tried not to think about it too much. My oldest just lost his first molar, and now he's counting down the months until he can take driver's training (2 years, 3 months).
I love-love-love the flowers in jars idea. I might have to borrow that!

  9. You're right -- a loose tooth and kindergarten. Time flies by too quickly!

Love the flowers. I picked a few from my garden the other day. The looked good at first, but not any more.

  10. That first photo made me salivate. Mmm.

I keep meaning to get up early to go running and instead I just sit outside and marvel at the clouds. Then I go back to bed. And read blogs. :)

  11. Hi there! I am new to the blogging world. I love your photos! Oh my! A loose tooth AND kindergarten, I would be feeling the same way! My son just turned 3, he starts pre-school next fall...so I have a little ways to go yet. lol. I agree - I need to start 'moving literally' after I have this baby in October. I must do it. I must do it. lol. I love cheap flowers too! I love how you put yours in jelly jars too!!! Isn't it great? :) Love your blog sweetie - have a great day! p.s. If I could have coffee/caffeine right now, I would be sipping a mocha right along with you. ;)
