{Virtual Coffee}

Good morning everyone. Hello Tuesday!
If we were really meeting for coffee this morning
I would invite everyone to come to my place...and bring all the kids.
This place is in need of a really good cleaning anyway, they can make as big of a mess as they want.
This week is going to be crazy busy so I think it would be a perfect day to stay in for coffee.
But we could pick it up. I'll take a Peppermint Mocha

So if we were really meeting for coffee this morning...

Can you believe Thanksgiving is in two days? Two days!?
I mean, wasn't it just like July? It totally feels like it.
I can't believe that this is the start of all of the Holiday madness.
Are you ready? I wouldn't say I'm ready as in actually like prepared-ready
but mentally I am getting excited for the Holidays.
Bring on the Christmas music!

If we were really meeting for coffee today I would ask you what your Thanksgiving plans are.
Are you staying in town? Travelling?
And what are you fixing? We are going to spend the day with both my family
and Eric's and are still trying to figure out where, when, etc. It's hard to make everyone happy and let's just say that compromising on these things is not necessarily my strong suit.
Do you deal with this during the holidays, too? How do you handle it?
Do tell.

Tonight I have an appointment to get my hair done with someone brand new. I have been going
to the same person forever and I am finally trying to break away, so we'll see what happens.
I might be crawling right back to her if this doesn't work out though.
I'm thinking bangs and...something different...I need a change in a bad way.
I can never just bite the bullet and do anything too extreme though.

There is a new little bakery not too far form our house. They have coffee, pastries, cookies, quiche and it is the cutest little place. Charlotte keeps asking to go back so we stopped there today and I let her get a  bag of mini cookies, she picked peanut butter. I was totally eyeing the chocolate croissants but I resisted.
I got several of these little plates at an estate sale this Fall. I have promised Charlotte
a tea party with these fancy little dishes soon and she's not letting me forget about it.
{Oh, do you see my kitchen wall color back there?}

If we were really meeting for coffee today I would tell you thanks so much for having coffee with me.
There is nothing like chatting with friends over coffee. Really.
I just love adult conversation.
I hope everyone has a great day.

  1. Mmmm. Those cookies look amazing!

I'd be glad to bring the kids over and chat for a while. I could use the break.

We are staying in H-town. It's just the four of us and that's perfect in my opinion.

    Have a great Thanksgiving, girl!

  2. I so hear you on the family thing. . .

some year I would love to just be us, David and the kids because it doesn't matter what we do someone is always unhappy with our decision. . .

    Hope it all works out!

  3. Love those plates and the cookies look yummy! I am the same way...have my mom's side of the family, my dad's side and my boyfriend's. I am such a people pleaser that splitting the holidays up can be hard!!

I hope you have a wonderful Thanksgiving and rest of the week!!

  4. e live pretty far from family, so we usually have Thanksgiving with friends. Sadly weather may separate us this year!

  5. Ooooooh, cookies!
I know. I think November flew faster than the other months...I seriously do........

  6. I love adult conversation too. I am feeling your pain. :)

I wish I could come with you to get a haircut. My hair needed a cut about four months ago. ACK.

We have never had a lot of holiday drama because we've never lived very close to either set of parents, and now my in-laws live out West. We're blessed though b/c even if they were closer I don't think either set of our parents would make a fuss one way or the other. We have pretty awesome parents.

(Oh, and I'm with you. BRING ON the Christmas music.)

  7. oh, i love, love, love the plates! can i come to tea?

  8. hello lovely....

    love catching up with you....
    i want your plates...
audrey would have a lovely tea party with charlotte with those...

and i hope you love your new do!

    happy t-givings friend!

  10. If we were getting together for coffee I would be looking forward to seeing your new "do" as well. I just got my hair done in October and love it. I agree with Heather I hope you love you new "do"

    Have a wonderful Thanksgiving

  11. How did your new hair cut turn out? I love getting new hair cuts, I get giddy just thinking about it.

  12. mmmm, peanut butter cookies! chocolate croissants, mmmm! I am with you on being mentally ready (but not necessarily prepared!) for the holidays! enjoy your tea party with Charlotte! hugs, Cathy

  13. Love your new wall color! It goes so sweet with those plates (& yummy cookies). I hope you were happy with your new hairdo!

Happy Thanksgiving to you and your family!!

  14. I was lured here by the sweet aroma of your coffee, but it was those delicious cookies that made me stay ;)

Have a wonderful Thanksgiving, and I hope you LUVS your new do! I do something extreme every year... color... bangs... you name it. I've been going to the same girl for over 5 yrs, I trust she will never let me leave looking foolish, lol.

  15. Happy Thanksgiving, sweetie! These cookies look incredible - and I love cookies. I also love your wall color, the china dish - Im coming right over!

Just posted my first Thanksgiving in the UK if you want to take a peek

Wishing you a happy day with family and friends :)

  16. Happy Thanksgiving! And I hope your hair turned out fabulous. If not, there is always the paper bag. It's scary trying someone and something new with your hair but when you're ready you just do it (it's a Nike thing). Love the color of your kitchen wall, btw.

leave me a comment...you know you wanna.
