Good morning everyone. Hello Tuesday!
If we were really meeting for coffee this morning
I would invite everyone to come to my place...and bring all the kids.
This place is in need of a really good cleaning anyway, they can make as big of a mess as they want.
This week is going to be crazy busy so I think it would be a perfect day to stay in for coffee.
But we could pick it up. I'll take a Peppermint Mocha

So if we were really meeting for coffee this morning...

Can you believe Thanksgiving is in two days? Two days!?
I mean, wasn't it just like July? It totally feels like it.
I can't believe that this is the start of all of the Holiday madness.
Are you ready? I wouldn't say I'm ready as in actually like prepared-ready
but mentally I am getting excited for the Holidays.
Bring on the Christmas music!

If we were really meeting for coffee today I would ask you what your Thanksgiving plans are.
Are you staying in town? Travelling?
And what are you fixing? We are going to spend the day with both my family
and Eric's and are still trying to figure out where, when, etc. It's hard to make everyone happy and let's just say that compromising on these things is not necessarily my strong suit.
Do you deal with this during the holidays, too? How do you handle it?
Do tell.

Tonight I have an appointment to get my hair done with someone brand new. I have been going
to the same person forever and I am finally trying to break away, so we'll see what happens.
I might be crawling right back to her if this doesn't work out though.
I'm thinking bangs and...something different...I need a change in a bad way.
I can never just bite the bullet and do anything too extreme though.

There is a new little bakery not too far form our house. They have coffee, pastries, cookies, quiche and it is the cutest little place. Charlotte keeps asking to go back so we stopped there today and I let her get a  bag of mini cookies, she picked peanut butter. I was totally eyeing the chocolate croissants but I resisted.
I got several of these little plates at an estate sale this Fall. I have promised Charlotte
a tea party with these fancy little dishes soon and she's not letting me forget about it.
{Oh, do you see my kitchen wall color back there?}

If we were really meeting for coffee today I would tell you thanks so much for having coffee with me.
There is nothing like chatting with friends over coffee. Really.
I just love adult conversation.
I hope everyone has a great day.

  1. Mmmm. Those cookies look amazing!

I'd be glad to bring the kids over and chat for a while. I could use the break.

We are staying in H-town. It's just the four of us and that's perfect in my opinion.

    Have a great Thanksgiving, girl!

  6. I love adult conversation too. I am feeling your pain. :)

I wish I could come with you to get a haircut. My hair needed a cut about four months ago. ACK.

We have never had a lot of holiday drama because we've never lived very close to either set of parents, and now my in-laws live out West. We're blessed though b/c even if they were closer I don't think either set of our parents would make a fuss one way or the other. We have pretty awesome parents.

(Oh, and I'm with you. BRING ON the Christmas music.)

  16. Happy Thanksgiving! And I hope your hair turned out fabulous. If not, there is always the paper bag. It's scary trying someone and something new with your hair but when you're ready you just do it (it's a Nike thing). Love the color of your kitchen wall, btw.
