We got our tree this weekend, we went to a small tree farm on a pretty little patch of land and cut our own. I mean, I didn't do any cutting but I did the tree-approving and the picture-taking, that's my job. It was a chilly, dreary day and it started snowing just a tiny bit while we were there. This year we got a Colorado Blue Spruce that turned out to be the perfect size and the best smelling tree we have ever had. Oh, how I love the smell of a fresh Christmas tree, it almost outweighs my guilt over cutting down a live tree every year. Okay, but the best thing about getting our tree? Ready for this?
The Wagoneer with the tree on top! Is that not the cutest thing ever? I love these pictures. And I have to confess: When I first saw this Wagoneer years ago, one of the reasons I wanted it was because I could just picture us driving through the snow with our Christmas tree on top. A lot more snow would have made the pictures absolutely perfect but oh well, it totally lived up to my fantasy. Happy, happy weekend to you...hope you got to do something fun. Is your tree up? Decorations out? Any Christmas projects in the works yet? I'd love to hear all about it. The lights are on the tree and there are now about 10 boxes strewn across the living room floor...time to trim this tree!
those pictures are a great cure for some pre-christmas blues...are you starting to feel it yet? i am....sorta. our tree is lit too. i used golden lights this year. cool? or wierd?
ReplyDeleteLove that! Ours just got tossed in the back of our truck...much less picturesque.
ReplyDeleteThese pictures are great!!! We put our tree up a few weeks ago, but it's not a real tree, perhaps one year we will try that!
ReplyDeleteOh, my husband just walked by, stopped in his tracks to look and said. "look at that- they have the perfect car for that!!" You do!! How fun. Happy decorating-
ReplyDeleteAh, ultra cute pictures!!
ReplyDeleteGosh, at that first picture I was like "What the heck--she lives in CO??? How did I not remember this....????"
I've been having brainless moments several times today. UGH!!!
Very picturesque. :)
ReplyDeleteLOVE the Wagoneer pictures!!! Fantastic!
ReplyDeleteReminds me of the movie Christmas Vacation :) Perfect looking tree!
ReplyDeleteOh the car makes it!!! I want one! I agree with Chelsea...Reminds me of the Christmas Vacation. Looks like the perfect time picking out the tree! Love it!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful pictures, Amy! Especially the wagoneer pics. :)
ReplyDeleteThat car is made to tote a tree! I love the shots. Can't wait to see it all dolled up :D
ReplyDeletePERFECTION!!!! I adore the wagoner and ALL of your pictures. I hope you had fun decorating it!
ReplyDeleteto die for!! love the wagoneer with tree on top! I love the pic with hubby kids & geese flying south~way cool! hugs, Cathy
ReplyDeleteGreat photos!! I don't think you should feel guilty about cutting a tree. They plant more and in my mind it's greener than an artificial tree with the chemicals used to produce one.
ReplyDeleteWe're going out next weekend to cut one. It's our family tradition too and I just let the kids go at it with the decorations! I don't even change things around when they are done.
Peace to you and your family!
postcard perfect! that car is my all time fave, especially this time of year.
ReplyDeleteHa! That is cute. Very cute.
ReplyDeleteWe got all our decorating done...except for the bits and pieces we are making for advent.
Be sure to post when you got it all blinged out.
Those pictures are AWESOME!! You should have cut your tree down in this neck of the woods...you would have had TONS of snow in your shot! Come look at my last two posts to see what I mean!!!
ReplyDeleteEnjoy the day Amy!!
Gorgeous Shots of a grand Christmas tradition!
ReplyDeleteI love, love, LOVE that Wagoneer. I have always wanted a vehicle with wood paneling on it.
ReplyDeleteVery beautiful shots!!! Looks like a lot of great memories for your family here...:)
ReplyDeleteWe have not bought a real tree in ages. I miss the smell of them for sure. My daughter bought a real wreath to go on the inside of our door so we can have the Christmas pine scent!! :)
