Good morning.
How is everyone this morning?
I am enjoying a grande skinny peppermint mocha.
Do you have a favorite seasonal/holiday drink?

So, if we were really meeting for coffee this morning...
I would tell you to pick up coffee and come on over.
You can even come in your pajamas if you want.
So tell me how your weekend was...what did you do?
We had a busy but fun weekend.
Two of my nieces spent the night Saturday night and then Sunday we all went
to my parent's house to celebrate my sister's Birthday...so more cousin/family time.
It was good and the kids had a blast, naturally.

We have had quite the variety of weather the last week.
Coldish, rainy, warm, tornado watches and some even saw a minute or two of sleety
snow last week, but I didn't, luckily.
But, this is what the sky looked like from my front porch Saturday night,
pink and blue mixed with a little bit of orange, it was gorgeous.
What about you? How is the weather where you are?

I have been in serious organizing/purging/cleaning mode for the last week or so.
And I am still going strong.
I have to tell you, it is so unlike me.
I mean, I usually get into it for a couple of days and then I am done for a while but this
time I just can't stop. I have gone through kid's clothes, organized our craft closet,
cleaned out the kid's closets, organized my office...and the list goes on.
The back of my car is stuffed full of bags and boxes to be donated today.
This is just a little bit of my office, I will share the rest after I get a few things hung
up in there. Ahhhh....organization.

Friday night we made some yummy homemade soft pretzels for the first time.
I used this recipe.
They were super easy and besides the waiting time for them to rise they didn't take too long.
You should totally make them, you won't be sorry.
I made cinnamon-sugar and sea salt; we had powdered sugar, vanilla icing and olive oil
with Parmesan cheese for dipping.
I wouldn't call them healthy, but I would call them super yummy.

Well, that's it for me this morning.
Tell me what is going on with you in your little corner of the world.
And if you are stopping in for Virtual Coffee for the first time this morning, join in,
the linky-thing is open all week.
Everybody have a great day, thanks for stopping by.

  1. Yay for pajamas! If we were meeting for coffee today, I would TOTALLY show up in my PJs. The weather here is turning a little bit nippy - and by nippy, I mean it gets down to the low 70s. So of course, all the Thais are bundled up in ski jackets and down parkas. :)

Mmm...those pretzels sound amazing! I've been doing a fair bit of purging today too and tomorrow I'll continue with the cleaning. My parents just left and I think I'm following some sort of instinct to reclaim my space and put everything in order.

Thanks for the coffee, Amy! Hope you have a lovely week!

  2. girl, if i was coming over today i would SOOO be in my pjs! i'm not feeling so hot...aches, conjestion. yucky. anyway, love your organized desk and your sweet lil kidlets eating yummies :)

  3. uh you can come over to my house when you are done. my studio would keep you busy for like a month;) now you've got me craving peppermint mocha...shame on you. loved that porch pic!

  4. Oh my goodness, those pretzels look DELISH! My little pregnant heart is so in crave mode right now :)

  5. today: having my coffee (just starbucks coffee with some creamer).
and getting ready to start school with my girls. I need a vacation, truly. My oldest wants to go back to school (public or private) and I am not sure what to do! I think she just doesn't want to listen to me anymore and do the hard work she is supposed to do. ugh, so many decisions!
    have a lovely day!

  6. those pretzels look divine! yummy! i need a massive dumpster for all the purging that i need to do! love your organized desk...doesn't it feel amazing to get organized? :D
    have a great day!

  7. I can't wait to have some star buck's when I get to Houston for Christmas (have I gotten annoying yet?). Those pretzels look delish!! Thanks for coffee!

  8. Ok, I'm on my way over with a Gingerbread Latte and in my comfy PJs. Hope I don't scare you. :-)

I'm inspired by your productivity on the purging/sorting/organizing thing. I soooo need to do that. The. Toys. Are. Taking. Over.

Well, have a lovely week. Thanks for coffee.

  10. Gorgeous sky shots - it was darn cold this morning in my neck of the woods. And YAY for jars to organize your office. I adore glass jars, bowls, dishes and plates. You're my kind of girl there. = )

  11. I always love your photos but that sky and those trees, oh my goodness! So beautiful. It would be real nice to come over and share a holiday coffee in my Pjs...too bad we are more than an ocean away.
