Begin.
That's my One Little Word.
A new year, a fresh start, a new beginning...
and a new word.
Begin :: start, explore, do, embark, initiate, make.
I think this word fits right now.
And not just because it's still January and the excitement of the new year is still so
inspiring and exciting but because of the things I want to do, to begin.
And for the changes and new beginnings this year will bring to us as well.
Here's to finding the courage and the motivation to make my wishes and dreams
turn into beginnings.
To actually start doing these things I dream of.
To start now, right here where I am.
do you have a word?

"Whatever you do, or dream you can, begin it.
Boldness has genius and power and magic in it."
-Johann Wolfgang von Goethe
word.
ReplyDeleteI adopt a phrase for the year. Last year's was "Savor every day."
ReplyDeleteThis year it's "Never stop starting." A lot like "begin." :)
my word this year is quiet.
ReplyDeleteSometimes I begin too much and forget to listen to the stillness in my heart.
Great word! I like that one! My word of the year this year is slow. I feel like I need to stop running at a marathoner's pace all the time-- it's exhausting!
ReplyDeleteI love reading the processes that everyone is going through to find their "word". I do rather like "begin". It is mindful, immediate and imparts the present tense. We all have to "begin", don't we, when we get up every day and when we want to try something new or embark on an adventure of any sort.
ReplyDeleteAmen sista..chase those dreams...just start going for it. I think there are some amazing things ahead. Mine was rest. Instead of me spinning my wheels and getting frustrated God is teaching me to trust him and turn it all over. So hard to do.
ReplyDeleteso good! begin it, girlie :)
ReplyDeletejust did some yoga... now you got me thinking... what will my word be... hmmm...
ReplyDeleteLast year my word was cultivate. This year it is present..be present. :)
ReplyDeleteOh that's a great word. Doesn't matter what else you choose you must first begin. You have the most beautiful handwriting. Can you come and do some journaling for me?
