Around Here :: Corners Of My Home

Thursday, September 5, 2013

Hello there, and welcome to my little home.
I love getting a sneak peek into other people's homes, I guess I'm a bit of a voyeur like that.
Are you like that,  too?... Because I know I'm not the only one.
If you were really to visit my home you would find--  lots of books, hand-me-downs, started + unfinished projects, and a whole lot
of mismatched furniture + decor.
I think my house might be... Rummage Sale-Vintage-Chic... not too heavy on the chic part, though.
And you will usually find a jar or two of fresh flowers(one of my favorite things ever) as well as dishes in the sink and lots of white trim
that needs touched up due to dirty fingers + hands and skateboards and.... just life.

A few favorite of corners of my home, via my Nikon + Iphone...

Here is a better picture of the adorable hankie bunting I got from my Mug Swap partner, Emily.
Don't you love it?
Right now it's in the living room but I think it's going to be moved to the dining room soon, I couldn't wait to hang it up while I decided on
that perfect spot for it though.

And then a little corner of my office which sits right off of the dining room and was originally "Maid's Quarters" ... which is always kinda funny to me.
Now it is  THIS Maid's  quarters.
I love that blue color on the walls and to be honest, when we first moved in my in-laws had just painted their bathroom that color and had left
over paint so I used it. I love it.

That's it for today but I will share some more pictures of some of my favorite corners next week.
Do you have a favorite room/corner/space in your home??

Speaking of favorite corners, one of my favorite boards on Pinterest is my very own"Favorite Corners" board.... so much inspiration there,
I could look at it all day and daydream.
Here are two of my most recent favorite pins on that board...

Have a great Thursday everyone... just one day away from FRIDAY.

  1. Your house is adorable! I love the rummage-sale-vintage-chic-ness of it. I TOTALLY LOVE "looking" into other people's homes. Would love to see more of yours. I keep wanting to do a home tour thing on my blog. Home tours are my favorite!

  2. Thanks Carrie! It must be the voyeur in us, I love seeing what other people do in their homes!! : ) And I cannot get enough home tours either, if you ever get around to doing that on your blog let me know, I'd love to do that!! Happy Friday!

  3. I love looking at other people's homes! What a good idea... as soon as I get my act together, I should write a similar post. Will let you know, so you can take a peek ;o)
