Getting Out Of Dodge

Friday, February 21, 2014

So, this past weekend was a long weekend for us, a long 4-day Holiday weekend and I was lucky enough to get out of
Dodge for two whole nights and 3 glorious days with a friend.
And yes, I did say glorious.... because it really was.
I mean is getting away from your regular, same-old routine ever not glorious?

I think not.
I mean... impossible.

{ Wait...what? California Donut Company? I am still dying over this one!!! }

It really doesn't matter where we were going... this was no beach vacation, there was no airplane, no change of
climate or time zone...
Just a few hours from home, a road trip, but it was just what I needed.
So, so good.
And the thing is, we have both been to St. Louis countless times,  but this weekend was filled with new(to us) neighborhoods,
off the beaten path, new areas filled with so much character + inspiration.
I have a serious  L O V E  for old buildings, dive bars, unique restaurants and shops and vintage signs...
Oh, the vintage signs and falling down buildings are two of my most favorite things in the world.
Seriously though, I really did say in the world.

I'm a little bit mad I didn't take my Nikon.... but my phone did the trick and just so ya know, my new favorite iphone app
is VSCO CAM ... love, love, love it.
Simple, easy to use and some of my most FAVORITE filters ever.

Oh, St. Louis you were so good to us.
We will be back soon... very soon.

Happy Friday.... Have a GREAT weekend!
