When it comes to inspiration, it is often feast or famine.
Sometimes I can't scrounge up enough inspiration to take one decent picture.
Sometimes I take twenty in a row that I think are pretty damn good.
A fabric store is usually an instant shot of inspiration.
Oh, I love fabric stores.
The buttons, the patterns, the thread, the ribbons and trim.
The colors, the prints and the endless possibilities.
Imagining all the things I would buy or make...or beg my mom to make.
Antique stores are full of inspiration for me.
And old homes, old buildings and worn and faded signs.
It could be a song, a pattern, a book, old records or a stack of magazines.
The weather is a huge source of inspiration too--or not.
The Winter is very difficult for me but Spring is full of inspiration;
the blooms and buds...and finally seeing green. The warmth and the sunshine.
Nature and the world outside, you don't have to look far at all to be inspired.

What inspires you?
Where do you look when you feel totally and completely uninspired?

What are you up to this weekend?
We are looking at storms and rain and tornado warnings here.
We are also looking at a weekend of nothing planned, nothing at all.
I love those weekends.
Hope yours is a good one!

I like to look at other people's blogs. I don't always comment but I get inspiration and ideas by seeing what others do. It does get hard sometimes to take pictures.

i have to stop myself from going on there.

ReplyDeleteLove the first picture especially. I often feel uninspired with writing. Not much I can 'do' about it but write when the ideals start flowing again. Being outside in nature usually helps.
ReplyDeleteMy favorite thing in all those pictures is the muchroom button in photo #1. LOVE it! Have a great weekend!
