Simple Things :: An Empty Pumpkin Patch

Sunday, October 28, 2012

A couple of weeks ago now I took the kids to the Pumpkin Patch right after school--  note to self :
never go again on the weekend if you can help it.
There was only maybe two other families there when we were and it was so nice.
Can you tell I'm not really a crowd kinda person?
It was so empty, in fact,  that I had no problem wollering on my stomach to get some of these pictures.
Had it been crowded I might have been a little too self-conscious for all that.
But this day...perfect weather and perfect light.

I am loving the white pumpkins this year.
And the gray ones... and the warty, bumpy ones.
For some reason it still amazes me that these things all come from a seed, survive the elements,
the seasons and even a draught and make so many people happy.

Sometimes the littlest, simplest things make me the happiest.

  1. Your pictures are beautiful! The lighting is great and it looks like everyone had fun!

  2. Just found your blog thanks to your pumpkin spice latte/hillbilly barista posts! What I found was a great blog with beautiful pictures of everyday life. Love it!

  3. i love the warty ones too. your pics are dreamy. :)

  4. These shots are incredible! Looks like a great day!

  5. Those are beautiful! The picture of Wyatt pulling Charlotte in the wagon is so sweet!
(I agree with no more weekend pumpkin patch visits. We went on a Tuesday evening earlier this month. Empty and perfect!)

  6. so. stop it.
your pictures make me feel like my kids are missing out on childhood or something! A to the MAZING!
you know i'm TOTALLY kidding, right? :)
and just a tad jeal of your talent, but more happy for you than jealous. :)
i cannot even stand the one of them looking at each other.
girl, you have a major gift!
AND white pumpkins are my fave!

  7. **every time i pop in you have a new header amy!!**
